I feel like Horikoshi’s favorite ships are Bakudeku and Togachako. He gave both of those ships so much chemistry and development throughout the manga and there were many scenes where both pairings paralleled each other

As a multishipper, I didn't care who Deku ultimately ended up with. I just wanted him to be happy. So I'm glad everything's working out in the end.
Please, let's not fight. As always, if canon doesn't live up to your expectations, fanon is always there, but there's no need to crash out or complain or try to undermine anything just because you don't like or disagree with it. Let's just enjoy our favorite fandom together.

Quick question bestie... What's your favorite LESBIAN ship in MHA? And your favorite STRAIGHT ship?
Alright... this is a tough one... 🤔 First one is easily gonna be TogaChako. Now to rack my brain to try and find a straight MHA ship I'm interested in 🫨... (Takes an hour sitting on the floor in a dark room trying to remember or think if there even is a decent straight MHA ship) Uhhhhhh..... OMG 😭 I can't think of one that isn't also poly. Ummmm...... OKAY OKAY I GOT ONE!! Kirishima & Mina🫠❤️🪨🩷💛👁️🫶☣️
Been crying for TogaChako🥹🥲 krishima and Mina is cute, I like them. I do like it when people add bakugo into the mix and make it the three of them though too. "Fan0fTheArts" on YouTube does a great job with that.

Switch and Switch: The Other Side Epilogue
An: Again, thank you everybody who actually stuck around, read and enjoyed this fic. I really liked writing it and it was a lot for my first one but I'm glad I stuck with it even when it seemed like I wasn't going to hahah.
Cw: Nothing too serious, tiny bit of angst, and just some romance and fluff.
Masterlist for Switch is here! Masterlist for Switch: TOS is here!
Everyone was sitting stock still as Katuski’s knee bounced, the cloth of his jeans rubbing against his chair making the only sound in the room.
“Katsuki,” Ochaco put her hand on his leg to still it. He stopped, mumbling an apology right before he started chewing on his thumbnail. “Are you actually nervous?” Ochaco’s mouth lifted as she started to smile at the man slumped in his seat next to her.
He sighed heavily, lifting himself up. “I’m not nervous. I’m tired of waiting. She’s always telling me not to be late and here she is, already 10 minutes behind when we could be figuring out-”
“Katsuki,” Ochaco’s soft voice cut through the beginning of his tirade. “We’re taking this trip no matter what.”
He sighed again but he stowed his complaints for the time being as he lazily curled his fingers around hers.
Kami and Deku, who were sitting on the other side of him, shared a knowing look. All four of them were getting ready to take a couples trip, the first one they could take since the confessions happened. Everything was still pretty secretive surrounding them and this trip would be a chance for them all to get away from the public eye for a while. They took every precaution to make sure of it. Everyone could understand how Katsuki was feeling. Just anxious to get out the door and on the road. But first, they all had to attend an important meeting.
“Sorry, I’m late,” Katsuki’s PR agent, Miku, finally breezed through the door. “I know, I know. Being on time is a virtue for me.” She gave Katsuki a pointed look. “I was thinking about your whole…thing and got distracted on my way in and then I got a phone call. Anyway, it doesn’t matter.” She plopped down into her chair. “What matters is that you four need my help.” She saw the various nods from the four sitting in front of her desk. “Thank you again, Kami, for that email giving me the details. As secure as my network is, I deleted it. So this meeting is just to make sure we’re all clear on the plans, okay?” Everyone sat captivated. Even Katsuki was sitting still as he listened to her. “Okay, so everyone wants a divorce. But it won’t look right if everyone just does it at the same time and then you two,” she pointed to Kami and Deku. “Run off to the states amidst all of that. It’ll leave a bad taste in their mouths. So we’ll stagger them and try to make them as quiet as possible. Kami, you and Katsuki will get a divorce first. Everyone’s favorite couple over here won’t be getting divorced until after Deku and Kami leave for the states. Give that a few months. During that time, the two of you,” she pointed to Katsuki and Ochaco. “Will have to lay low. Please, I’m begging you.” She gave Katsuki another pointed look. “I’ll do my best to keep paparazzi and news outlets off you. I think we can keep these things under wraps. If you want to be close, try pretending you have a great working relationship together. Maybe even come up with a new combo move or something. Something that puts the two of you together. But look innocent about it, okay? You two do the same. Get out to the states and focus on the work first. Perhaps you can live close to each other but don’t overdo it. We want to spin the story that love snuck up on you all, blah, blah, blah. Now I’m guessing all of this has been going on for a while so you’ve been doing a relatively decent job at laying low as far as I know. But give it a little bit more time. Things will be a little rocky after your divorces go public but I’ll have statements prepared that you can put on your social media. This is probably the most elaborate image project I’ve had to date but I think we can pull it off.” She pasted a big smile on her face. “Any questions?” She was met with silence. “Great, well I have a question for all of you. Is this really worth all this?”
“Absolutely.” Deku answered first, confidently, easily. “You don’t always get a second chance and I’m not missing out on this one. Kami slid her hand into his as she looked up at him, pure adoration in her eyes. He looked back, smiled, and kissed her as if it didn’t matter they weren’t the only two in the room. Katsuki made a gagging sound while Ochaco giggled but it didn’t faze them.
“Deku’s right though. I’m scared out of my mind but I want to do this right.” Ochaco’s hands started to tremble and Katsuki kissed the back of the one he was still holding.
He sighed and looked at Miku. “Can you honestly say you’ve seen me like this?” He lifted their hands as if that was all the proof he needed.
Miku had been his PR agent for a long time, since before he got married. As she thought over it, she tilted her head. “You know, I don’t think you have been. You’ve done the bare minimum for your public image for a long time but this is…something else.” She nodded. “Alright. Well as long as you’re serious, then I can do what I can to make sure you kids are happy.” From the shared looks from the couples, she could tell, she didn’t need to do much for that to be true already. “I’m happy for you all. This…makes sense.”
Katsuki cracked a smile. “Thanks Miku.”
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
“Isn’t this weird?” Ochaco took a sip of her tea. “Shouldn’t it be weird.”
“Should it be?” Katsuki slid up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head on her shoulder.
They were standing in front of the patio doors watching Kami and Deku try to light a bonfire outside. The cabin they rented out was perfectly secluded tucked close to the mountains. The air was clear and cool and quiet. They felt like they were in their own little bubble.
“I don’t know. I just feel like watching our soon-to-be ex-spouses play around with each other should be…weird.” She felt him shrug.
“We’ve had some time to get used to this. But if it does feel weird, that’s what this trip was for, remember? We don’t want to move forward with any lingering…weirdness.”
“Right. They are cute together aren’t they?” She chuckled.
He only grunted in response.
“Aren’t they?” She tapped his arm, urging a verbal response.
“I mean they’re fine, I don’t know.”
“Do you have any lingering weirdness?”
He paused before speaking. “I don’t think so. Kami was my first love or attempt at it anyway but I’ve done nothing but take that and grow from it. I can’t say I’m perfect but I want to learn and keep growing with you.”
She turned his arms and looked at him with glossy eyes. “Katsuki, are you getting mushy on me?”
“No, and you have no proof.” He pecked her on the lips.
She giggled. “Your affection is proof enough to me.” She turned back to the door. “I’m just happy he’s happy.”
“He always looks happy.”
“Yeah, but it’s real this time,” she said in a quiet voice and Katsuki squeezed her midsection. “I don’t think he was miserable with me by any means but I think they’re just a better fit. She probably brings things out of him I never could. And now you're that for me.” She leaned and turned her head so she could kiss him on the cheek.
“Good to know,” he mumbled right before kissing her on the lips.
“Deku, I don’t think you need any of that extra stuff. Just throw the wood in the pit and light it,” Kami insisted from her seated position by the pit.
“I mean are you sure? How long is that gonna burn?”
“I told you just to look it up.” She smiled at him and he smiled back. “So, is it…weird? Awkward?”
“Is what awkward?” His eyes rounded in confused innocence.
“Us,” she spared a glance to the patio doors where Katsuki and Ochaco were standing.
He glanced over too and sighed. “You know, Ochaco and Kacchan are two of my closest friends and they always will be. I don’t like how everything unfolded but it got me you and it left them happy. They’re kind of cute. Not that you guys weren’t a nice couple.”
“No, I get it. I mean you guys were the country’s favorite couple.”
“Yeah but that’s probably because we were always better friends. We look like best friends. We’ve been through a lot and now more than anything I just want her happy. I want them both happy.”
Kami looked at them again. “I think they are. I’ve never seen Katsuki so touchy.”
Deku smirked. “He could probably say the same for you. You guys were never about PDA too much, were you?”
“Yeah but I mean this is Katsuki, we’re talking about. Kacchan! He’s gotta be so in love.”
“Is that weird for you?”
“No, I think I agree with how you feel. I want him happy. He actually looks happy. We were kind of mismatched from the beginning and now I can see why.”
As if they knew they were talking about them, the doors slid open and the other couple stepped out. “Deku, what is taking so goddamn long with this fire?”
“It’s not as easy as it looks, Kacchan!”
As the men started arguing over the best way to start a fire, Ochaco came and sat next to Kami. “Some things never change do they?” She quipped. “Even when everything changes.”
“It’s kind of nice, isn’t it?” Kami said thoughtfully.
“Kind of, yeah. I’m glad we’re here.” Ochaco said and Kami knew she meant more than just being at the cabin.
“I am too.” And she meant it.
“To change,” Ochaco lifted her tea and Kami lifted the travel mug she brought outside with her.
“To change.”

printed in crimson | Bakugou x Reader
synopsis: Your problems? One, you like Katsuki Bakugou, but he's the personification of a red flag. And two, you like to see how red the flag can get.
warnings: toxic relationship, smut, asshole katsuki, dumbass reader
wc: 3.9k
a/n: not proofread
navigation
Katsuki pushes your head on the mattress, fucking you roughly as he chases his own high. Your cunt clenched at his rough treatment, eyes rolling back in pleasure.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" He chants, tightening his grasp on yoyr hair. "God this pussy loves me." Gasping, he lifts your hips up in the air, letting go of your strands as he sharply slaps your ass, using some of his quirk.
The area blooms with heat as your orgasm catches you offguard, your walls clamping down at the desperate man behind you. He bottoms inside you, voice raspy and deep as he reaches his own high, half his body falling on you.
"Get the fuck off me." You bite out, pushing yourself from under him. As your actions push his cock out of you, the feeling of his load dripping down your thighs make you shiver.
Walking towards your bathroom, you try your best to ignore the tenderness between your legs. You grit your teeth together just as you walk in, slamming the door behind you.
You face your mirror, immediately pissed at the marks he left all over your neck and torso. Bitten and bruised, you touch on the particularly swollen part on your shoulder. You remember him sinking his teeth there after you rode him so hard and fast your abs ached.
Clicking your tongue, you step under the shower, letting the warmth of the water ease you back into a peaceful state of mind.
"You lying bitch." Momo's eyebrows are knitted in fury, her gazed casted on your neck. Everyone else in the table follows her line of sight, a series of disappointed groans and tired sighs erupting from them.
You brings your hand up to cover the spot, rolling your eyes. "I thought I'd be better at color correcting now." You mumble.
Ochaco crosses her arms in dismay, glaring at you.
"Oh, come on, guys! I'm sorry, I made an honest mistake!" You whine, "This is the last time, I promise!"
"How the hell do you mistakenly fuck Katsuki Bakugou?" Momo chastises, her glare feeling like multiple knives stabbing you in the same place. Just in different angles. And they're all on fire.
"Look, our agencies had a meeting, the both of us were the last ones to leave the room-"
"So you fucked him?" Momo summarizes.
Before you even get a word out, Izuku cuts in. "Isn't it weird how Kacchan is very vocal about his hate for you and yet he still goes back everytime your paths cross?"
"I think 'hate' is too much of a strong word." Tsuyu voices her thoughts.
"No it's not. And if you think it is, you can shove that opinion up your ass. He hates me and I hate him. That's just simple facts." You frown, heart softening at the sight of Tsuyu dejected.
You hold your hand up at her, "Sorry- sorry Tsu. I just- it's been a rough week." You sigh.
"You mean a rough night?" Tenya cackles, making you shift your glare at him.
"That's one, Iida." You bite out.
"You claim you hate him, yet you still bed him." Shoto points out, sipping on his green tea. "I wonder why that is."
Yet again, right before you could defend yourself, your friends begin to jump at you.
"It's cause her favorite color's red." Momo jokes.
Ochaco shakes her head, "No, I'm pretty sure she once claimed to be a flagpole."
Kyoka, who's been silent all this time, spits her drink. "Nah, nah. She just likes to see how red the flag gets." She laughs, punching soft jabs at your arm as you glare at her.
"Alright, you know what! I'm not gonna stand for this!" You slam your palms on the table, standing from your seat. "I'm a good person, alright?! If I every treat you like shit, then that's on you. You provoked me."
Shoto raises a brow at you. "And what does it mean if you tolerate being treated like shit?"
The table is silent for a moment before your narrow your eyes at the hero, "Shut the fuck up and drink your tea." You sneer, sitting back down, crossing your arms and legs.
Just as the topic shifts to another, the cafe's bell rings, announcing someone's arrival. Your eyes train to the sound, widening at the sight of familiar red hair. His eyes scan the room before falling on your table, a wide, spiky smile stretching across his face. "Hey guys! Didn't know you all would be here!"
"Hey Eiji!" You smile back at him, allowing him to engulf you in a big hug.
A hand appears on his bicep, squeezing it tightly. "Hands to yourself." Katsuki's voice rumbles from behind the red head.
"Don't tell him what to do." You glower at the blond, arms tightening around his best friend's waist in defiance. You look up at Eijiro with wide, pleading eyes. "Hug me, Eij." You pout.
You can feel everyone's stares at you as Eijirou raises a brow in question. You ignore the fuming Katsuki behind him, softly squeezing his back in encouragement. Eijirou sighs, gently pushing you away. "Sorry babe, I don't wanna get in between whatever bullshit you and Bakubro are into."
Your table cackles as you roll your eyes at the red head.
"I have work to finish." You take your bag and your drink as it's still halfway full. "I'll see you guys soon." Without making eyecontact with anyone, you swiftly leave the cafe.
You take out a cigarette from your purse, keeping it between your mouth as you blindly search for your lighter. "Fuck." You curse, turning a corner. Now away from curious eyes, you begin shuffling throigh the numerous shit inside your little purse until a hand grabs your shoulder.
Immediately out into fight mode, you grab onto the person's forearm, about to throw them into a body slam but their actions are quick. You're spun around and slammed into the wall behind you, your eyes falling on familiar vermilion orbs.
"What do you want, Katsuki?" Your eyes narrowed and tone sharp, you attempt to break free from his hold, but the numerous times you've tried this in bed reminds you you're simply wasting your energy.
"You ignore me after the night we had? You hurt my feelings, princess." He smirks, moving his head towards you. "Don't fucking call me that." You spit. "And so what if I do? You don't control me."
"A few nights together tells me I do, actually."
Your nape burns at his statement.
"Keep talking like that and I'll remind you just how flammable your penthouse is." Your threat falls on deaf ears as he presses his body against yours. His lips press against your ear, hot breath fanning over the shell. "You gotta stop using this shit." He plucks the cigarette out of your mouth, crushing it between his fingers.
"I take it cause of you. You stress me the fuck out." Your menacing look is exchanged with a raised brow.
"And you think that little attitude of yours doesn't give me headaches?" He scoffs, apparently appalled by this personality of yours he's already familiar with.
You smile sweetly, "Your prettiest headache, right?"
Katsuki freezes at your question, surprisingly stumped before it resumes to his usual frown. He lets go of you, his fierce stare stuck on you for a few moments before he clicks his tongue and walks away.
"Hell's his problem?" You mutter, taking your pack of cigarettes once more. As you hold a stick between your fingers, you stare at it for a moment, nibbling on your lip in contemplation before sighing. You place the stick back inside the pack, returning it inside your purse before leaving the narrow alley.
The hero's gala is filled with sparkling dresses and pressed suits. You're stuck in a conversation with some foreigner hero, laughing and nodding at the right time, and only talking when you actually listen to whatever he's saying.
You can't help but scan the room for a familiar blond. Yeah, the invitation said you could bring a plus one, but he won't actually bring someone, right? He simply isn't the type.
"And how is hero work here in Japan? Ever thought of moving to a different country?" You look up at the hero in question. "I enjoy the work I do here, so no, I've never thought to emigrate, but maybe I will in the future. We never know." You shrug your shoulders, chuckling as he and the other heroes around you laugh boisterously.
You space out, their voices muffled as you swirl the wine in your glass. Bringing it up your lips, you're about to tilt it up when you hear a familiar name from behind you.
"-Bakugou. Or, Dynamight." A feminine voice introduces.
"Of course I know Dynamight! He's one of my favorite heros!" An older male voice replies loudly.
You furrow your brows, turning around. Just as expected, you come face to face with Katsuki. The suit looks impeccable on him, buttons fighting for their lives to keep the shirt closed and the arm sleeves barely containing his meaty biceps.
His eyes drop on yours, bored and uninterested. Your stare shifts to the beautiful brunette in his arms. Unsure whether it's jealousy or anger, or simply just hurt and betrayal that's making your blood boil, you softly excuse yourself from the guests around you.
Without another look back, you make your way to the balcony, taking a deep breath of the cold night air.
Annoyed.
Exactly, I'm annoyed to see him. His face is annoying, that's why I was pissy.
You're really just convincing yourself at this point.
Looking out into the mountain ranges that overlooks the balcony, you feel a sense of calm and peace. The tranquility lasts for only a minute until it's shattered once more by the familiar scent of sweet caramel.
"Who'd the unlucky guy you brought?" He asks, taking up the space beside you. Huffing in annoyance, you roll your eyes at nothing.
"For your information, if I did bring anyone tonight, it'd be the best night of their life."
Katsuki furrows his brows, glancing at you with confusion written all over his space. "You, on the other hand, seems to have made it your goal to ruin that poor girl's night." You face him, memorizing his fazed expression before turning back towards the double doors.
"She's beautiful, make sure she enjoys the party."
And with that, you step away from him. Except you try/ to, when he grabs your wrist, spinning you back around.
"Why didn't you bring a date?" You raise a brow at his question, rolling your eyes as you attempt to free your wrist from his grasp.
"Is it any of your business? Let go!" You demand, pulling your wrist from him as hard as you can. Katsuki doesn't budge, his chest rising and falling furiously as his eyes penetrate yours.
"Katsuki, I said let go-"
"Did you want it to be me?" He asks, shoving his face towards yours.
"You- what?" You tilt your head in confusion, "No!" You lie. "Of course not!"
"Liar."
Fury swirls in your stomach as you raise your hand, slapping him across the face. His grip loosens, taken aback.
You stand there, one arm suspended in the air and the other folded against your chest. A red mark begins to bloom on his cheek.
Swallowing harshly, you take him by his collar, pulling him against you as you press your lips together. Immediately, Katsuki kisses back feverishly, hands moving all over your body. One hand squeezes your waist while the other grabs your ass, pulling your ody towards his. He backs you up against the balustrade, both hands moving up your sides, embracing tightly you as if you were gonna slip from his arms any second.
You run your hands up his chest, scratching your nails up his nape until they bury themselves into his hair. His tongue dances with yours in a consuming, desperate song. He tastes of sweet wine and chocolate, your senses hightening, making your head grow light.
He pulls away, your breaths clashing with each other as you you look up into his eyes. They scream with devastation and anguish, it makes you question everything he's done to you in the past.
His hands begin to frantically undo his belt, your eyes widening as you look behind him. The curtains were drawn to cover the glass doors, probably to hide the fact that this balcony existed. But it'll only take one swipe and everyone inside would see the both of you in this state.
"Katsuki, I don't think-"
"Shut the fuck up and open your legs." He growls, using his thigh to part them. The second he makes contact with your pulsing cunt, all reason flies out your brain through a needy moan.
You look down between the both of you, watching him pump his cock once, twice, spreading his precum all over his member before he positions himself to be right infront of your hole.
You nibble on your lower lip, allowing him to push your panties to the side. Without wasting another moment, Katsuki thrusts his entire length inside you, your teeth drawing blood as you struggle to stay quiet. Katsuki softly brushes his thumb against your cheek, pressing on your lip for you to let go.
"Red looks amazing on you." He says, eyeing the blood staining your lip. Without pausing his hips, he lowers his lips down to yours, tongue peeking out as he brushes it against the crimson.
"Fuck, you make me crazy." He mutters, pulling back. He grabs the backs of your thighs, pulling them to his hips as he fucks you harder, faster.
You grab onto his shoulder for support, digging your nails onto his shoulder as your back arches. "Fuck yeah, fuck yeah Katsuki." You breathe out, slowly leaning back. Your hair bounces and trickles behind you until they're completely hanging off.
"God, this pussy should be classified as a drug." He grunts, his pace rougher now. "Can't seem to fucking quit it."
The balustrade can only be so wide, it can only accompany your ass and lower back. As you try to pull yourself back up, Katsuki wraps his hand around your throat, pushing you back.
"Katsuki!" You manage to breathe out, his grip straining. "I'm gonna fall!" You wheeze, clawing at his arm as he continues to fuck you with abandon.
"Imagine that." He smirks, leaning over. "Once I let go, you fall fifty feet. Legs still wide open and my cum dripping out of you."
Your eyes widen as the blond bites and nips at your chest, pulling the dress down to reveal your breasts. He takes a nipple inside your mouth, sucking on it harshly as his gaze glue themselves on you. Your eyelids flutter and your walls clamp down on his cock, the stimulation burning a fire of euphoria in your belly.
"Like that, huh? Like it when I hold your life in my hand?" He chuckles darkly, repeating his action to your other tit. The slapping of his skin against yours fill the balcony, the erotic sound filling your head with bliss as you forget about the life or death situation the hero has put you in, chasing your own high instead.
"That's it, fucking come for me princess." He pinches your clit, ripping an orgasm out of you. Your thighs clench together around his hips as your head tips over. You watch the world in an upside down manner as waves upon waves of ecstacy drift throughout your body.
As the feeling recedes, you're being pulled from danger and dropped onto the floor, the sticky and warm feeling of cum dripping down your inner thighs.
"Asshole." You growl at the blond fixing his pants.
You follow him, pulling your panties and dress back in place before holding onto the railings for support as you begin to stand up.
Katsuki stares at you for a moment, eyes looking desperate, as if he wants to say something, before averting his gaze. He clears his throat, clenching his hand into a fist then walks off without a word, leaving you in the balcony.
It's cold.
You're alone.
And you feel like crap.
You lean on the railing for a moment, wondering to yourself why you can't leave whatever this relationship you have with Katsuki. It isn't healthy at all.
You want a man who'll cook breakfast for you after sex, someone who'll clean you up and give you snuggles. Someone who cares about what you think and say.
"Oh, hey you." Your head flicks up at the new voice, your sights one Shinsou as he exits the ballroom. His hair is combed back, a simple suit on and in his hand is a sparkling glass of champagne.
"Ah, hey." You wipe off the tear you didn't realize fell. You turn around, a weak attempt to hide your welling eyes from him.
"You okay?" He asks, taking over the space Katsuki had just stood in before fucking you up.
"Ah, yeah. I'm fine." You chuckle nervously, pressing your lips together as you continue wiping off multiple tears that stream down on their own.
Shinsou stares at you before turning his gaze towards the mountains.
It's still quiet and peaceful. Shinsou doesn't disrupt the tranquility like Katsuki does. And he doesn't push or order you to tell him what's on your mind—he simply just stands there, waiting for you to finish.
"Actually-" You sniff, "I'm not okay."
"I gathered that." He takes a sip of his champagne.
You chuckle at your pathetic state, fidgeting.
"I keep going for shitty guys." Your lower lip wobbles, "And I don't know why. My therapist says they're simply my pattern, but I can never understand the root cause of it." You squint, remembering all the painful memories of the jerks you used to date. And the one jerk you can't seem to let go of.
"Maybe it's cause you think you don't deserve better." Shinsou places his now empty glass on the marble balustrade, turning his head towards you. "What is it you want?"
You look into the distance, your teeth playing with your lower lip as the pain from before resurfaces.
"I want a good guy. Someone who takes care of me, listens to me. Someone who shuts the fuck up for once." You chuckle, turning to Shinsou.
The man already has his body facing directly at you, flashing you a rare smile. "And Katsuki Bakugou isn't that for you."
Your brows curl in disappointment, "But I want him-"
Shinsou softly places his thumb on your lips, effectively shutting you up. "Leave him alone before the big man up there takes away that choice."
Your eyes widen, hand moving to your belly.
"You're an amazing woman. You'll find the right person to... shut the fuck up and listens to you." His smile grows wider before he takes his hand back, stepping away from you and returning inside.
You blink once, twice, before letting out a tired sigh. Just as you're about to return inside, you notice a piece of paper underneath Shinsou's empty champagne glass.
He'd scribbled his number on it. When? You have no idea. But he must have inserted it while you were busy gazing at nothing. You pull it off, inspecting it.
Should I take this chance? Call him tomorrow, maybe?
"He'll bore you." A deep and gravelly voice you know all too well sounds from behind you, making you freeze. The paper is plucked from your fingers as Katsuki moves toward you, his face right beside yours. The both of you look at the numbers scribbled on the paper.
"And you deserve someone who'll keep you on your toes."
"Being in a healthy relationship wouldn't be boring, it'd be peaceful." You say, trying to convince yourself.
"You don't want peace, princess. You wanna see the red flags in shapes of hearts." He whispers into your ear, making you swallow hard.
"You're not a fucking carnival, Katsuki." You grit out.
"But you love the rides I offer." He chuckles, making your head snap towards him.
"Shinsou will treat me the way I deserve." You defend.
"He won't treat you the way you want, princess. How you truly want it. You go with him and ten years later you're sitting at home taking care of one and a half kids, with a white picket fence around your house as you wait for Mind Control to get home." He talks as if he can see the future. "Is that what you want?"
The picture he painted terrifies you.
Your eyes return to the paper in the blond's grasp.
"I'll answer that for you." He whispers, pressing a kiss against your neck as multiple tiny explosions go off on his palm, effectively burning the small paper.
He wraps an arm around your center, pulling your body onto his as he licks your neck. "You're never getting rid of me, princess. I'm gonna ruin your life the same way you ruined mine."
"You just hate progression, don't you?" Momo raises a brow as she stares at the marks on your neck. You didn't bother to cover them up this time—she'll still be able to spot them.
"More like she's regressing." Tenya jabs, making you pinch his side. He exclaims in pain, going on a tangent about how you shouldn't do that while you tune him out, looking out through the glass window.
"I'm bored." You yawn.
"And Katsuki Bakugou isn't the game you wanna play." Kiyoka deadpans, taking a sip of her coffee.
"I beg to differ. I simply haven't learned the cheat codes yet." You smile, taking your iced caramel macchiato.
"I'll tell you the codes—unplug the damn game and get another one." Izuku sighs tiredly, leaning back into his seat. "I swear, one day you're gonna end up killing the dude cause you found out he fucked a different girl."
You giggle, leaning into Tenya, taking a sip out of your coffee.
"And you didn't give Shinsou a chance?" Tsuyu asks, taking a bite out of her cake. The corners of your lips pull into a frown as you shake your head. "Nah, I memorized his number and sent him a text last night. We're meeting for drinks later."
Momo's eyes widen as Ochako looks at you with bewilderment. "What-" Ochako stutters, "I'm confused. Are the both of you going on a date?"
"What? No!" You giggle, "We're having drinks as friends! Thought maybe I should expand my circle. I don't wanna keep getting shit from you guys." You roll your eyes.
"Uhuh..." Izuku draws out, "And how does Kacchan feel about this?"
"He doesn't need to know." You place a finger against your lips.
Momo's eyebrows raise, impressed by your reply. "You're learning a lot from him, huh? Doesn't seem like something I want you to be doing."
You simply shrug, returning your gaze outside as you tilt your head up. Past the waving leaves of the trees, is a window. You smirk as you think about how Katsuki must take you for an idiot. Your phone vibrates beside you and you lift it, the screen instantly lighting up to show a notification form 'settings' with the settings picture on the side. You smile, clicking on it.
Settings: Since when did you notice?
You: Ever since we got here.
You: Stick to being a hero, Katsuki. You're not very good at trailing people.
Settings: Shut the fuck up
Your turn your phone off before returning your attention to your friends, butterflies erupting in your stomach, extremely excited at what's to come in the near future.
Sure thing is, you won't be taking care of one and a half babies for sure.

The battlefield, once a place of heroic dreams and ambitions, was now a desolate graveyard. Smoke lingered in the air, mingling with the metallic scent of blood. The devastation was complete, and the silence was suffocating. Among the ruins, the remaining heroes scoured the area, looking for any sign of life, any flicker of hope amidst the carnage.
Izuku Midoriya, his face etched with exhaustion and grief, moved slowly through the wreckage. Every fallen hero and civilian they encountered tore at his heart, but he kept moving, driven by a desperate need to find his friends. His heart sank deeper with every step, his mind refusing to accept the worst.
It was Kirishima who found them first. His usually bright eyes dulled with sorrow as he called out to the others. "Guys, over here," he said, his voice barely more than a whisper.
Midoriya and the others rushed to his side, only to be met with a heart-wrenching sight. Their friend, Katsuki, laying motionless on the ground, his arms tightly wrapped around you. His face, usually so fierce and determined, was softened in a final act of protection and love. You both looked peaceful, as if sleeping, but the blood and the stillness told a different story.
"No... no, this can't be," Midoriya muttered, falling to his knees beside his childhood friend. Tears streamed down his face as he reached out, his hand trembling. "Kacchan... please, wake up..."
Kirishima's face contorted with grief as he knelt next to Bakugo, his hand gently resting on his friend's shoulder. "He fought so hard... they both did," he said, his voice breaking. "He... he never gave up."
Even though Katsuki was mostly rude towards them, they knew deep down inside of him, that he was fond of them.
Ochaco Uraraka, standing nearby, covered her mouth with her hand, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Bakugo was… Bakugo was holding them…" she said softly, her voice filled with a mix of sorrow and bittersweet warmth. "Even in the end, they were together."
Midoriya gently tried to pry Katsuki’s hold on you, but it was locked in a death grip. "He's... he's holding on so tightly," he said, his voice shaking. "We... we can't separate them."
Shoto Todoroki, his usual stoic expression replaced with one of profound sadness, knelt beside Midoriya. "We won't," he said quietly. "They'll be buried together, just as they should be."
The heroes worked in silence, carefully lifting the entwined bodies of Katsuki and you. Every movement was filled with reverence and sorrow, the weight of the moment pressing down on them. As they carried you both from the battlefield, the reality of their loss settled heavily on their shoulders.
Back at the makeshift camp, the news spread quickly. The other heroes and civilians gathered, paying their respects to the fallen. There were no words to express the depth of their grief, but their silence spoke volumes.
A funeral was held shortly after, a somber affair that brought together friends, family, and comrades. The sky was overcast, as if the heavens themselves were mourning. Katsuki and you were laid to rest side by side, his arms still wrapped protectively around you. The gravestones, simple yet poignant, bore your names and the legacy of your bravery.
As the ceremony drew to a close, Midoriya stepped forward, his voice breaking as he spoke. "Kacchan... you were always so strong, so fierce. You never backed down, never gave up. You were our hero.” He took a deep breath in. “And (Name)... you’re the kindest person I’ve ever met, you were quick to jump into action. You had a heart of a hero. You stood by his side through everything. Your courage and love were a light in this dark world. We'll never forget you. We promise to keep fighting, to honor your memory."
The crowd slowly dispersed, but Midoriya, Kirishima, and a few others remained, unable to leave just yet. They stood in silence, each lost in their own thoughts, their hearts heavy with loss.
Finally, Midoriya spoke again, his voice barely above a whisper. "Goodbye, Kacchan. Goodbye, (Name). We'll miss you... so much."
As they walked away, the memory of Bakugo’s protective embrace and the love that bound you together lingered in their minds. It was a reminder of the cost of their fight, of the sacrifices made. And though their hearts were broken, they knew they had to carry on, for you, for Bakugo, and for the future you had both fought so hard to protect.
(A/N) Hope you guys like this! (Spoilers for KNY) I was kind of inspired by Mitsuri and Obanai for the death scene :)

﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
You all walked into the club you’ve been going to since you can remember. It was your favorite because it played primarily 80s and 90s music, the whole club was also 80s themed.
The floor tiles were black and white, disco balls adorned the ceiling and casted beautiful lights all around the place.
You squeezed your eyes shut a few times from the bright colour lights emanating from above you as you made your way through the crowd with your friends.
Squeezed between people you danced to the music that was already ending, Izuku was next to you and Himiko and Ochaco right in front of you.
The next music played, and you jumped onto what you thought was Izuku’s arm and yelled “Oh I love that song!”
You turned your head and were met by Mina with a smile on her face and wide open eyes.
”Y/n! What are you doing here” she screamed, her hands going to your shoulders excitedly.
”The same as you, I would say, I’ve never seen you around here before” you chuckled, happy to see a familiar face.
”I figured I would try something new this time and I absolutely love it here!! Even more now that I know you also go here” she smiled, nudging your shoulder.
You took her hand and led her to your friends after she said she came here alone and you offered to spend the night together.
And as the song played, A forest by The Cure, you locked your eyes with her, and you both began dancing together. Her, in front of you, both shaking your shoulders from left to right in rhythm. Throwing your heads back, hands dancing in the air as you breathe in the alcohol fuelled air.
Come closer and see. See into the trees.
You all chant the lyrics and whirl around on the dance floor, moving your bodies from side to side.
After an hour or two of dancing, Mina led you all to the bar and ordered 5 blue lagoons.
”That’s on me you guys” she grinned at you, twirling around on her chair.
You all looked at her with disbelief, trying to insist on paying for your own drinks, but she declined and said it was nothing. You took your drinks when they were ready and went to sit around a table a bit further away.
She was so easy to get along with, like you all already knew each other. The conversation was going smoothly and you spent god knows how long talking about anything and everything.
Getting up from time to time to dance when a song you liked played.
You didn’t even order more drinks after that, too lost in the conversation to think about anything else.
Down Under by Men at Work was playing in the background as people still danced on the dance floor, the mix of sweat and alcohol slowly filling the air.
”I can’t believe that, how didn’t you tell us, my heart is breaking” Ochaco fake tries, clenching her chest.
Izuku hides his face and laughs “I couldn’t. It was a way too embarrassing moment to share with anyone.”
Mina throws her head back and laughs, and we all follow after her. She wipes a tear from her eye before continuing.
”I think it was the hardest i've ever laughed, I will never forget that scene” Izuku nudged her shoulder playfully and chuckled.
”So I heard from Kacchan you’re looking for a new place?” Izuku suddenly says.
We all turn our heads to them with a questioning look.
“Oh right that! Yeah my roommates are kicking me out for no reason” she leans back in her chair with an annoyed look.
”Seriously— What the hell is wrong with them?” you say revolted. What kind of roommates just kick you out like that you thought.
“The not so nice ones” she laughs “They’ve always been assholes but since it was a big house and they went out a lot, I thought it would be easy to avoid them and mind my own business.”
You sit here bewildered, wondering how she even managed to live more than a few days with these kinds of people. Living in a house where you always checked if there was someone home, not leaving your room when you wanted or needed to. Absolutely insane.
The girls and you quickly look at each other and nod with a small grin.
”You know me and the girls live together, and there's actually one bedroom we don’t use. Well, mostly, we only put random boxes in it or stuff we’re too lazy to put in the cave.” you say with a slight laugh.
Mina looks between you, Ochaco, and Himiko.
“Are you saying what I think you’re saying? “ Mina leans forward, hands gripping the seat she was in.
You nod. “Come live with us!”
She gets up almost immediately and goes in for a big group hug, squeezing the breath out of your lungs. Jumping in circles screaming.
”Oh I can’t thank you guys enough. You genuinely just saved my life” she hugs you again, one by one this time.
It was an impulsive decision but you didn’t regret it one bit. Mina was a sweet and funny person and you knew she would bring even more wonderful energy in your shared apartment. You couldn’t wait until she was living with you all.
Two weeks later, she was ready to move in. All the papers were finally done after long days of waiting. For god knows what reason, the whole thing was a pain to do, and your landlord took an absurd amount of time to get everything done.
You just helped her put the last of her boxes into the room you had emptied and cleaned. Izuku also came and helped lift the heavier things she had brought with her.
”Your apartment looks so lovely, this is going to be amazing” she lifts her arms in the air in excitement.
You open your mouth to say something but are interrupted by the sound of your ringtone.
”Sorry let me take this” you smile leaving the girls to chat and making your way to your room.
You sit on your bed before answering.
”Hi Hanta” you grin.
”Hi hermosa” you can hear the smirk on his face as he speaks.
”Stop calling me that” you chuckle.
”Why would I if it’s true”
You roll your eyes and scoff.
”I can feel you rolling your eyes. Are you rolling your eyes?”
”No…”
”Liar.” he chuckles. “I was calling to ask if you were free today?”
”Today? Sorry Mina just moved in and we want to spend the evening together” you reply a bit sad about not getting to see him.
During these two weeks, you two grew closer, now eating lunch together every day, seeing him and the boys at practice when you were free and just hanging out around the campus or taking walks in the city.
You’ve now had your designed places when you hung out, sketching him out when he wasn’t looking.
It would be a lie to say that his little nicknames didn’t get to you and made you feel warm inside every time he spoke.
“Oh right! How about tomorrow?” He brought you out of your thoughts.
”Eager to see me huh” you tease.
”What can I say, I may like spending time with you” You can hear him slightly move on his bed.
”Tomorrow’s perfect. See you at?”
”Three. I’ll pick you up at three.”
”See you at three then Hanta” you smile while hanging up.
You let out a sight and continue smiling to yourself.
The rest of the evening was filled with laughter and music as all four of you sat on the couch. Watching movies and playing board games for hours before you all pass out from exhaustion.
You were convinced it was a good idea to offer Mina to move in and you were absolutely right.
The next morning you woke up before everyone else at around 11am. You get up slowly, careful as to not wake up the girls who were still sleeping. Ochaco had her head pressed on Himiko’s chest, one leg over her waist and Mina was using Ochaco’s back as a pillow.
You chuckled quietly at their weird position and made your way to the bathroom. Taking off your clothes you take a quick shower and make your way to your room to pick out an outfit for the day.
You scan through your closet and decide on a short white sweater, a black skirt and a large dark brown jacket. You put them on and add tights underneath with long white socks.
You went back to the bathroom and did a simple makeup, putting your hair in a hair clip.
Quietly, you go to the kitchen and make yourself some tea while waiting for Hanta.
After some time, you hear the doorbell and quickly put your boots on before grabbing your bag and opening the front door.
”Hi” you say slightly looking up at him.
”Hi” he smiles at you, looking you up and down, admiring your outfit.
“You look…very pretty.” he says as he tilts his head.
”So do you” I compliment him back.
Closing the door, you both make your way down to his car. You had no idea where he wanted to bring you. You kept asking him during the ride, but his mouth was sealed shut. You settled on turning on the radio and waiting until you arrived at his mysterious destination.
a/n a longer chapter for you guys this time ☝🏻

15th July: Doomsday.
--
Class starts off normal. Yeah, that’s it. Cool, normal, totally not like your childhood best friend is burning holes into you like you were going to get slammed by a semi-truck at any minute.
Izuku’s eyes are pools of crystal lakes. Like Narcissus looking into his own reflection, Izuku’s eyes compelled you to look his way. Maybe it was sorcery or witchcraft—his eyes seem to sparkle, and they’re mesmerising beyond any precious jewel.
I get it. It’s your birthday. Doomsday.
And maybe, you were just the slightest bit peeved at his actions. All through yesterday, he’d been avoiding you like a plague. Wouldn’t talk to you, speak to you, hell, he wouldn’t even look at you. Then all of a sudden, he decides that he wants to shower you with his gaze and attention, or peer at you with those fucking eyes like he hadn’t been avoiding you these past few days.
You thought you knew dense, but this? Izuku was a fucking mineshaft.
Just as you’re about to address his intense gaze during homeroom, Aizawa calls you out for the second time in the span of one week. You pretend you don’t feel all eyes on you as you exit the classroom. There’s a certain aloofness you can never mirror from Kacchan. There isn’t the “I’d die for you in a heartbeat” mentality ingrained in your bones just like how it is for Izuku. You wish to emulate both of them, for a trait special to your personal, but when you stop to think about it, you draw a blank.
Ugly, ugly, plain and boring, you remind yourself, as you step out the classroom to meet Aizawa. You’re getting called out so often because you can’t even act fine correctly.
There’s a hand in your face before you know your mouth is open. “My turn first,” Aizawa says, dead serious. “You aren’t in trouble, and this isn’t about Midoriya.”
Your mouth clangs shut, and your throat constricts. What else would he want to talk about?
“An opportunity has been presented to you,” Aizawa says, trailing off a little. “By Star’s former agency in America.”
The world tilts sideways, and you actually stumble to keep yourself on your feet because of the floor’s disequilibrium. “W-What…?”
“One of them wants you there as a sidekick.”
America?
That’s more than, what, 6000 miles to the great wild West. The land where dreams came true (supposedly).
“Ever since you aided Stars and Stripes in her last battle, the agency’s been keeping an eye on you. There’s an interview, and paperwork, and a contract but I suspect those are simply formalities.” Aizawa says nonchalantly, but you can see the pride in his eyes. The pride of a teacher, when his student has soared high. That battle was intense, but it was ashes compared to Izuku’s heart-moving victory that had saved the world.
“B-B-But…” You stutter, “I-I don’t think I’m the best candidate! Won’t they want one from the Big Three? Did they get the wrong person? Ask them to double-check because I don’t think—”
Aizawa gives you an unnerving stare, and his words that come out flat. “Kid, they phoned me 14 times. Pretty sure they got the right person.”
Hesitation lines your face, as Aizawa pats your shoulder. “More details will be given should you accept. They want you from next year onwards, which I am willing to compromise for as long as you have fixed times with you to revise the necessary topics. You, Bakugou and Midoriya have finished most of the syllabus, correct? Should you feel necessary, I possess revision materials and suitable dates should you want to take the final exam earlier.”
It’s a beautiful opportunity. A ‘I-found-a-golden-ticket-in-my-chocolate’ kind of opportunity. It was so tempting to take.
But…
You were just 17. A teenager that won the lottery, who now had to deal with consequences. What about family, housing, language, oh God, your English was so bad you would die before they asked you ‘dine in or take out?’ And besides…
Aizawa sees the look on your face, and sighs loudly. How many times are you going to stupidly throw your life away for Izuku?
You can’t keep doing this, but clinging to Izuku and this ever burning love you have for him is all you ever know. Running of to America? You don’t think you could comprehend the distance across oceans paired with the distance of time. Aizawa stares at you and shakes his head in disappointment. “Give it a thought. It’s okay to be selfish sometimes, L/n. Don’t let anyone hold you back from chasing your dream.”
You swallow thickly. It’s all you’ve ever wanted, someone wants you, and you’re being called to help other people, be a real heroe and drop the ‘in-training’, to fight crime and kick as in a country with crime rates so high they could rival the Empire State Building.
You’re a terrible mess, and when you think about it more, the more miserable you get.
It’s my dream to be a hero, but what if my dream is you too?
—
“We need to talk,” Izuku’s voice is gentle, but it’s plush pillows wrapped up in caution tape. Assessing him doesn’t take too long, because by the way he grips your wrist as your foot is halfway out the door, he wants to tell you something, and it’s urgent.
Shrugging his hand off, you fold your arms and project aloofness, although it’s not very convincing. You feel your lips threaten to break into a false smile, and mentally slap yourself when it almost flits across your face. Izuku had caught up to you on that ever since his fragmented memories started returning, so you’d tried to stop.
Bad habits and sticky fingers.
“What is it?” You try to soften the edge of your voice like sandpaper, but you still see the way he flinches at your voice. Patrol is in half an hour, and if you don’t book it, you’ll be late. “Oh, and if this is about your birthday party and how you don’t want it, too bad, Mina already bought silly string and Sato bought ingredients for the cake, so you can’t—”
“It’s not, about my birthday.” He insists, shoving the topic aside. A hand runs through his curls, as if trying to soothe his nerves, but you can see the way he has to forcefully drop his hands to the side and avert his gaze. His outer shell had slowly crumbled off the longer he was around you, little fragments chipped off until gone is Hero Deku, and underneath is a more human Izuku, with nervous habits and mistakes.
“Look, I’m sorry I haven’t been…around.” He says, trying to phrase it nicely. It does him no favours. “There were a couple of things I had to figure out and rearrange in my head, it’s just—”
He looks desperate, and you’re feeling bad. Emerald green washes over your eyes, mirroring the calm of a forest even though he’s nothing but.
“I’ve gotten hold of how the Quirk Accident happened, and-and a way to lift the Quirk, but…” He swallows thickly, before his eyebrows furrow. “Are you even listening to me?”
Your eyes had strayed to a clock, thoughts wandering, but you jerked back to reality when a scarred hand tugged your own. “A way to lift the Quirk?”
It’s only when you repeat his words do you really understand the weight of them.
Joy bubbles up and exudes from you like an air freshener on crack.
Hey, aren’t you excited? The little child that always hoped for another way whispers, tugging your arm with a beautiful smile. Izuku’s gonna remember you.
But the logical side of you, the side with squandered hope and broken dreams makes you think through your feelings. The longer you think about it, the more it doesn’t make sense.
If Izuku had found a way to lift this curse, then why hadn’t he done it yet?
The clocks tick, and the minute hand moves. How many minutes do you have left until he forgets?
“Yeah, but that can wait.” He says in a rush. “There’s some guy I met—on the streets! He’s related to my Accident. I don’t think he’s the exact person, but close, brother, probably, since he said ‘Nii-san’—”
“What?”
Your heart rate spikes and colour drains from your face. Chisuke and Izuku made contact, oh God, and you didn’t even know. Now that you see it, you can’t unsee it. The redness on his neck, like he’d been held at knifepoint. Worry blossoms in your voice.
“Why didn’t you tell anyone? Why didn’t tell Sensei?”
“I just met him yesterday,” Izuku defends, eyes blazing. “And he’s not targetting me like you thought, he’s targetting you!”
Time slows. The declaration was like a veil lifted from your eyes, a shiny revelation that stares at you in the face. The target…
Is me.
Your eyes flicker back to Izuku’s face, huffing and puffing like he fought a bull to stand down. You stare at him. He’s all muscle, baby fat thinning, freckles sprinkled across his face like stars in the sky.
“It’s me?” You whisper, voice small.
Izuku watches you look at him dumbly, words caught in your throat.
“Please,” He whispers, features lined with worry, the same worry you once felt for him now reflected right back at you. “Don’t go for patrol, stay here, where it’s safe. Starlight—”
The name feels like ants on your skin.
“You’ve done so much already,” he takes out a hand, the same one as in that dumb, snow-white hospital room when he got concussed from pushing himself too hard.
I’ve done nothing.
“I…” He swallows. “I don’t want to lose you when I’m this close to figuring it all out.”
The last time you’d taken his hand it tasted like victory. Everything felt perfect, as if fireworks had painted the sky a vibrant colour shows, an artist’s masterpiece for all to see. But now, as you lock eyes with his hand, you can’t help but wonder if it really mattered anymore.
It doesn’t matter if Izuku remembers or forgets—Chisuke would still be hunting you down, looking for a way to wipe your emotions until the heroes lock him up.
All the memories, flashes of moments he’s gained from agony and tears—they’ll be locked behind reinforced walls by the stroke of midnight.
The karma of this exact day, 7 years ago is finally catching up to you after all this time. What will Chisuke do this time? Cut you up? Drown you in your blood? You taste ash on your tongue, throat clogged up.
If it really comes to it, maybe it wasn’t completely undeserved.
Isn’t that for the best? Someone whispers in your ear, voice a whispy and taunting.
Because this entire fiasco is because of you.
The minute hand ticks again, and your phone buzzes. Your patrol, your shift—
Izuku’s still there, waiting for you to take his hand.
Walls constrict on you, and feel your ribcage squeezing the air out of your lungs.
You’re gonna die, you’re going to flatline, you’re—
You only hurt when you let it hurt, and it all goes away when you don’t think.
Don’t think.
The answer comes to your hazardous grappling, and you’re so desperate to stop spiralling, you do something that you haven’t done since Izuku started talking to you again.
It comes as easy as breathing, as you let that rope snap. Up goes the walls, and gone your thoughts.
Don’t think.
Dissociate, detach, let go, don’t cry, you can’t start now.
Eyes flash upwards, and you force yourself to steel. Stars aren’t supposed to break.
“Move.”
Izuku’s eyes widen at your shifted demeanour, and his legs carry him out of my way as his face collapses with confusion. “Starlight, what’s wrong with you?” He whispers, pleading for you to listen. “Starlight—”
“I’m going for patrol,” You exhale sharply, looking at him with dull eyes. Expressionless, head empty, come on, just a little bit more, don’t break now—
“I’ll be careful out there, and I’ll come back safe.” Maybe.
“Starlight, you’re not listening to me—!”
“You never listen to me either, so I guess we’re both even!” You shout, swinging the door open.
The anger is foreign at your fingertips. You’ve felt disappointed, sad, longing and desire, all shrivelled up in balls of tissue paper as you wake up screaming at night. But anger? It was fresh, a band-aid ripped from raw skin.
“We’re both shitty teenagers who want to do what we think is the best for each other, and there’s nothing more to it,” You whisper, rubbing your eyes at where the tears start to leak out. This is bad, you’re out of practice, and the mask is peeling off so quickly.
You’re just so, so tired.
“Leave me alone, Midoriya.”
Hurry up and get your memories already.
“I’m not worth it.”
Haven’t I waited long enough?
Tears prickle Izuku’s eyes, pools of green watering. He’s always been such a crybaby.
Voice shaky, he echoes. “You’re worth it.”
A terrible, unsightly smile crawls up your face, and the laugh that drops from your lips is bitter and humourless.
“Goodbye, Midoriya.”
The door slams shut, and Izuku’s tears bubble over. What hell of a birthday is this?
A shadow creeps up on him, and, oh look it’s Kacchan. He messed up big time, of course he blew it with you. Furiously, he wipes his tears away and sniffles. He has no right to cry.
“God, dammit nerd, what the fuck was that?”
“I know—” He sobs, as Katsuki punches him in the face. The burn is well deserved, as the blond yanks him by the collar and spits in his face. “Good job, dumbass! You lost someone who’s been chasing after you for fuck knows how long. How’d you manage that?”
Katsuki’s voice is like a slap in the face, one he knew he very much deserved. “What, you gonna sob about this like a baby? Fucking man up, Izuku! You have a game to play, asshole. Ball’s in your court, so what’s your move?”
His mind whirls, gears turning. You’re probably halfway to the station, he knows how fast you run. Especially from him, always, always him.
“Oi, shitface!” Katsuki spits, red eyes blazing with fire from the Underworld. “What’s. Your. Move?”
A sharp bolt stabs his cornea, making him writhe in agony. Kacchan’s yelling recedes into the background, his mind sprouting words like it was trivia night on Saturday.
White lies, eyes, smiles, laughs—
He squeezes his eyes shut, pain blooming.
Starlight, Zuku, Secrets—
He gasps, unable to breathe.
Sketcheswillowtreesforgetmenots—
His mind glitches, and images flash. A lush forest that’s always lathered in colour, beautiful branches like streamers with a lake as pure as waters from springs.
Almost instantaneously, One For All crackles from the ends of his hair to the tips of his toes. Izuku tosses himself out of Kacchan’s grip, eyes wild and frenzied. “I need—” He cuts himself off. “I need to go.”
He zips past Kacchan, and bolts out the door.
Fuck the bus, he’d get there faster on foot. He knows exactly where he’s going, because he’s going back to where it all started.
Back to the memories that resided in your glade.
—
The overcast sky greets your gaze as your hero partner frowns. “Oh, man, it’s gonna rain!” She wails, lamenting the bad weather. You look up, watching the sun disappear behind the curtain of grey clouds.
What’s a little bit of pain without a little bit of rain?
—
Izuku never ran so fast in his life. He’s probably a flying, leaping safety hazard, but he doesn’t care. Stormy clouds roll in, as the sun bids farewell for the day. The news drones on about the rainy forecast prediction.
Yeah, no shit. He thinks, as one drop lands on his jacket.
Not a minute later, it pours.
Trespassing seems like a small feat too, as he leaps over the fence and stumbles. He doesn’t fall, though The rain makes everything slippery, so it’s a fight for balance as he reroutes his way to his destination like his body is a satellite.
The voice, your voice, gets louder and louder as he nears the clearing. It’s splitting his skull in half, and he’s fighting to keep himself from doubling over.
“Save you—”
“I’m so sorry—”
“Come back to me—”
Gritting his teeth, his hand brushes past the leaves that reveal the toneless clearing that you’d adored so much. It’s so bare, without its colour. A step forward is all it takes for his legs to buckle, forcing him to kneel as his hands trace the willow tree’s rough bark.
“Who are you?” “I’m Y/n! What’s your name?”
“Race you!”
“I’ll call you Zuku! It’s shorter, and nicer!”
Wax on bone, flesh peeling and blood dripping. He screams, loud and broken, the pain more than he could ever imagine.
“I’m not a transfer, I’m not a stranger—”
“Izuku, please—
“I love your eyes.”
“I love your smile.”
“Don’t leave, Zuku. Stay here with me.”
“I love you.”
The world is burning, and upside down, right? The cool pitter-patter on his skin feels like acid, oh, make it stop, please make it—
Tit for tat, this for that. A brother for a brother, and pain for bits and scraps.
You want to find your memories? I understand. My Quirk is simple, very simple. Pain is not worth the weight of knowledge.
The world goes dead silent, as his heartbeat thumps in his chest. Erratic, frantic, as the world seemingly explodes. Izuku isn’t so sure if he’s dying, though it certainly feels like it.
“I love you.”
The words thrum in Izuku’s head like a martyr, echoed in your voice at all different ages. Fragmented across different timelines, the world stops, and along with it, silence engulfs his being.
He blinks, and he’s standing in front of the wall again. It’s fragmented so badly, his breath hitches at the beautifully ugly sight.
In the silence’s place, is the faint but distinct sound of a heart monitor beeping.
Izuku looks up to see the wall crack once more, and shatter in front of his very own eyes.
Your trade is sufficient.
In return, I’ll return you everything that was once yours.
—
It all happens instantaneously. Suddenly, someone dials the decibel level back up to max, and Izuku’s memories arrive like a mountain avalanche.
He jerks his head up, the ringing in his head fading as he’s thrown back into the world of senses. The rain pours, and the thunder booms.
His mind feels comfortably full, sharper, and he’s horrified he didn’t realise how empty it was in the first place.
“Oh, Starlight,” He whispers, voice wobbly as he sorts through the different years. So many things make sense now, from your words to actions and your expressions that always screamed help me. A hand comes up to cover his mouth as he lines the memories with gold. He’s been so daft this entire time, and you—
Guilt rises to his mouth and it tastes awfully like bile. It’s getting very difficult to breathe.
How could I ever forget you?
Arms wrapped around himself, he lets out a strangled cry, shame chewing him up more and more because this? This was what you went through? 7 years of obliviousness, white lies, and a whole-ass relationship that he was never meant to have with Ochaco. 7 years of putting up to him, clinging to him, oh gosh, this year was such a dumpster fire—
“I love you.” Your voice rings in his head, and his words pile on top of each other in his throat. The revelation is warm sunlight in the cold shower of rain, and he sobs when he finally understands the gravity of them.
I love you, even if I can only have different facades of yourself.
I love you, so I’ll chase you as long as I have to.
I love you, even though you will never love me back.
“I love you too,” He whispers brokenly, gathering up the pieces of his ruined memories in scarred hands. “I’ve always loved you.”
It was always meant to be you, that’s why nothing ever felt right.
From the times you brought him your bentos in middle school when the bullies would throw his own away, to the times you sat there with him for hours. Those times you never said anything but just listened to him, made him feel heard and respected and—
loved.
Izuku knew he was whipped the moment the nickname ‘Zuku’ sprouted from your mouth in that sandbox all those years ago.
Can’t even survive a Quirk Accident right, some love, he scoffs at himself, staggering as he pulls himself to his feet.
Your trade is sufficient. The voice at the back of his mind reminds him, causing blood to drain from his face. There’s only so long that you can overlook one factor, and this one was a ticking time bomb that got his brain throbbing and searching hungrily for the answer.
What exactly has he traded?
His phone alarm blares in his pocket, causing him to fumble with it as it automatically starts to play the latest news.
“—Currently facing off against a villain! Two of them, although it’s difficult to see as one of them has a wind manipulation Quirk. It seems he’s at least partially responsible for the storm right now. Hero/n and Everblaze continue to push for the capture of the villain behind the recent cases police cases of officers found waking up unable to feel joy—”
All colour drains from his face. There’s nothing more that needs to be said. He pockets his phone, fires up One For All, and leaps for the city.
Izuku’s lost you once. He refuses to lose you again.
—
Seeing Chisuke tastes like shit. Not that you would know or anything, but this is how you’d imagine shit would taste like.
Izuku was right, of course he was.
Chisuke was here for you.
You dodge the incoming blow swiftly, back to back of your senior. The rain pours, but it doesn’t stop the attack, because you’re a lighthouse in a storm.
“This lot is targeting you, Hero/n, what did you do?” Everblaze grits, flipping her smoke bomb of to buy time.
“Something stupid that involved crashing into a man at age 10.” You mutter, hands lighting up with your Quirk.
She curses, before reporting to comms. “Hero/n and Everblaze on the scene, requesting for backup now!”
“The guy with the knife, get him first.” You say, a strange calm settling under your skin as you navigate through this with professionalism and detachment. “He’s the most dangerous, in terms of long-term setbacks.”
You never know when he’s going to strike. A warped version of Toga, but at least Toga loved her victims. This person…he just liked stabbing people and getting revenge.
With the precision of a neurosurgeon, you toss the man sneaking up on you over your shoulder pinning him to the ground.
Cold blue eyes stare up at you, with a twisted smirk framing his face. He’s older than you last saw him, stubble growing fuzzy under his chin and hair shaggy in the rain.
“Starlight, I found you!” He breathes, cackling you when you twist his arm behind his back. The laughter will forever haunt your nightmares. “I finally found you…”
“Don’t call me that,” you hiss, digging your elbow into him even more. Everblaze’s voice is radio static in your ear.
“Deal with Knifey, I’ll manage the Whirlwind!”
“Copy,” You grit out, struggling to hold him down. “Backup ETA?”
“10 minutes, counting!”
A flash of silver flickers in your peripheral, and you lunge back the minute he takes a swing at you. Water makes you slip, and he contorts his body, pulling yours forward as he lifts up his knife and—
Your thoughts evaporate like steam over a hot pot. He wedges the dagger between your shoulder blade, and its acid corroding your bones. Grunting, you yank his knife out of your shoulder, tossing it to the side.
You look back just in time to see him pocketing a vial of your blood.
“Two more to go!” He cackles over the thunder as he brandishes a shiny new knife.
Dread pulls in your gut as you clasp your shoulder. Water makes the blood runny, and if it weren’t for the adrenaline, the pain would have exploded like fireworks on the 4th of July.
“Backup 8 minutes!”
The rain drones on. Donning dirty clothes and an ugly smile, he looks feral, crazy, and the determination behind his voice rivals yours.
“Pay your price, Starlight!” He yells, eyes gleaming. “Give my brother back!”
What comes around goes around. The tables have turned, and the roles have swapped. The water blurs your blood into a murky red, and you grind out your response.
“No can do, Chisuke.”
You don’t have the heart of gold Izuku does. The heart to understand, to hear him out or try to empathise. Maybe for other villains, but this was too close to home.
You move expertly, but with his wild knife swings that looked random but were deadly accurate, you’re forced on defence and the back-burner. Kacchan would be so mad because you aren’t moving well. Your defenses are sloppy and the rain makes everything worse. You feel like you’re back in year 1 again, still a fragile bird learning how to fly.
Even still, you’re wearing him down because of the puffs of his breaths that are ragged and rushed. Good, you think, just as the knife lunges too close.
Oh, shit–
There’s another stabbing, and you kick him off just as he grazes you with his knife. Blood drips from your cheek, and you bite your lip when the pain flares.
“That’s two!” He beams, knife dripping red.
“Back up ETA 5 minutes!” screams the voice in your ear.
I don’t have five minutes, shit I don’t even know if I have one! You want to scream, but you know you have to pull this out. Quickly surveying the field for something useful, you hastily grab a discarded metal rod from a broken fence just as he’s about to plunge the dagger into you. It collides with a clang, and now that you see his face up close, you see the myriad of emotions flashing across his face like a light show.
You squeeze your eyes shut, and refuse to feel a thing.
No feelings, no pain, no feelings, no pain—
“You should be grateful,” He whispers, eyes wide with light. He genuinely believes that he’s helping you. “I see it in your eyes, that agony and sorrow…you want it all gone, and I can help you with that.”
Panic shoots up your legs like it’s water from a fire hydrant, but you hold firm. It’s difficult to see in the pouring rain, but his expression is too hard to miss. “You don’t have to hurt anymore, isn’t that great?” He says, rain falling like confetti on someone’s birthday.
“You don’t have to love anymore.”
You hate how deep his words cut.
Don’t think, don’t think, don’t think—
Pain explodes in your abdomen as your eyes widen. Chisuke deflects your rod with ease.
It isn’t his knife in your chest.
“Three.” He whispers, smile widening further.
There’s a small body behind you, one lithe and quick. The face doesn’t even look at you. “Got her, boss, just as you said.”
It isn’t the Whirlwind guy.
There was a third? You think helplessly, staggering as the knife is drawn from your chest. Maybe if you’d had been more observe, better prepared, you would have caught it.
But you weren’t and now, you’re paying the price
Not vital, of course not, he doesn’t want me to die—
Your hands burn with blisters, and when you look down, they’re coated in red.
“No—” You lunge forward, but your legs buckle beneath you like your body is nothing but lead.
The ringing in your ears blooms, along with the pitter-patter of the rain. “What did I tell you, Starlight?” He coos, fingers locking around the final vial.
“I don’t miss twice.”
—
Izuku arrives on the scene and sees you drenched in blood.
“Sir, please, I need your ID—oh! Deku—” The police officer stumbles over his words in surprise, apologising profusely, but his eyes never leave your frame.
His heart rate racks up, and he’s staggering to your lifeless body with his world falling apart around him. No.
He starts to run, slipping on wet tiles as he stumbles to your side, your blood tainting his hands.
“Starlight,” He whispers, checking your pulse in a desperate attempt to convince himself you are alive. It’s weak, but it’s all he gets and isn’t a cause for celebration.
You don’t look fine at all.
Red soaks your entire body, battered up and bruised as your shoulder twists at an awkward angle.
“No, no, no…” He yanks his jacket off and covers the nasty gash on your stomach. There’s water running down his face, but it isn’t rain.
“She’s still alive,” calls a voice. Izuku whips his head to the source, and finds himself staring at smug blue. “It wouldn’t be any fun if Starlight dies from this.”
The whole world is painted red.
Chisuke looks at him, pearly whites glistening as the rain dampens his ragged hoodie further.
“Do you like my birthday present, Izuku?”
He may be in Quirk cancellation cuffs, being sentenced to a hell worse than his brother but he looks so happy.
“Why would you do this?” He whispers, pulling you closer. His voice is wobbly, soaked to the bone in rain. The last time he felt this defeated was when he lost Kacchan to the League over two years ago.
Look at this, a voice in his head whispers.
You’ve lost Starlight too.
“If you wanna say anything to her, you should do it now!” He yells from the police car, getting shoved in. “I hope you like my gift.”
Izuku’s breathing is all that he hears, as he stares desperately down at you and your wounds, your face, everything, everything, everything—
This is all my fault.
“Zuku…?” You cough, eyes wandering and searching for his. His heart jumpstarts to life. “Hey, don’t say anything,” He shushes, trying to project a smile. It’s too shaky to pass off as one.
Your eyes find his, and a lazy smile spreads across your face. “Hey, it’s you,” You whisper, eyes so bright they could be stars in the sky. “You’re Zuku.”
Raindrops splatter around you, diluting your blood and hiding your body. Izuku almost breaks on the spot.
“Yeah, it’s me.” He says, holding you tightly in his arms. “I’m back, Starlight.”
The smile on your face doesn’t widen, but the tears that fall are painfully washed away. You’ve done such a good job all these years, always his ray of sunshine. Now, he’s seeing all your feelings suppressed underneath.
“Welcome back,” You wheeze, as if it’s difficult to speak. It probably is.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to go.
This isn’t how it was supposed to end.
Your trade is sufficient.
In return, I’ll return everything that was once yours.
Izuku shakes his head, a sob bubbling against his throat.
“I never meant for this to happen.”
You force out a laugh, and then wince in pain. Izuku misses your laughs. “I’m the one that got stabbed, so stop crying, you crybaby.”
“But you were never supposed to go through this.” He whispers, cradling you gently, but hugging you tight. “I’m so sorry, Starlight. For not knowing, for not trying to know, just…oh God, when I think about it, I want to slap myself so hard, get Kacchan to Howitzer Impact me a couple of times too when we get back. I didn’t know, and I hurt you so, so badly.” He inhales, looking around, eyes surveying his surroundings. Frustration builds, and his desperation grows. “Goddammit, where’s the ambulance? Why aren’t they here yet?”
Hurry up, save my Starlight.
“Zuku, it isn’t your fault,” You rasp. His first love is someone strong enough to move hearts on the daily, and has patience that spans as wide as the Pacific Ocean. His first love is someone extraordinary, even though no one will acknowledge it as deeply as Izuku will.
“Starlight—” Izuku chokes, watching your eyes go glassy. “I love you.”
I love you so much, please, please, please, please—
There, where the wind blows strong, and Izuku’s eyes spill tears, you reply with a breathtaking smile.
“I love you too.”
His lip trembles, and he does his best to shield you from the rain.
“Zuku?” You whisper, voice cracking like spoilt leather.
“I’m tired.”
The life is slipping from your eyes, and Izuku shuts his eyes and tries to find the right words to say. “I know, Starlight, just hang on a little longer. You can do it.”
Your voice is thick with a sob. “I don’t wanna stop loving you.”
There’s a fire that lights in Izuku, as he clenches your body tighter.
“Then don’t go,” He says, voice a whisper. “Stay with me.”
The tables have turned, and now it’s his turn to say those words. Please don’t go. Stay.
Your eyes shift upwards to the sky. Even through the rain, stars peek out from behind the clouds, mapping out a land unknown.
“The stars,” You rasp. “They’re so beautiful tonight.”
Izuku’s laugh is endearing, clogged up with snot. “They are. You’re prettier, though.”
You look at him, eyes pearling with tears. “I’m sorry you had to see me like this,” You heave, eyes ever-gentle and love everlasting. “But it’s so nice to see you again.” You murmur, breath shaky.
“ ‘m love you, Zuku,” you whispers, breath floating out from your lips like an angle from above. Your eyes shut, and you don’t reopen them to meet his gaze.
The sobs that are jamming in his throat bubble over, and he weeps, and cries and screams because you were never meant to be coated in red like this.
Your trade is sufficient.
In return, I’ll return everything that was once yours.
“Why?” he wails miserably.
Why did I have to lose you to find me?
—
Your heart beats steadily, as someone screams in the background.
And then all of a sudden, a rope snaps.
A torch snuffs out, and plunges the world into darkness.
—
The trip back to U.A is a beaten path. It’s 2 buses from the Central Hospital and a hundred metres from the school entrance. You open the double doors to dorms, only to be bombarded by your classmates whispering sentiments of worry and concern.
“Oh, Y/n, thank God you’re okay!” Ochaco fusses over you like a second mom, and the others all give you relieved smiles and offers to help you catch up with homework.
There’s a boy edging the group, barely inside your peripheral. He’s a boy with green eyes and a heart made of gold, someone you’re supposed to care for very, very deeply. Your mouth opens as you lock eyes with him, drawing up feelings that you knew were once your entire world.
You draw a blank, and grasp at nothing.
“Welcome back,” Izuku says quietly. You look…better, albeit after being brutally stabbed. Your eye bags are slowly disappearing, and you look lighter than you had ever been before.
Your mouth shifts upwards to a smile, and it feels genuine for the first time in a long time.
“Yeah,” You say, giving him a half smile.
Ochaco drags you over to the couch and distracts you with food. You hold his eye contact for a moment, before breaking it in favour of food.
Huh, you wonder, the weight of love dispersing into the soil down, down below.
What a strange, foolish person I was, falling in love with him.

Aged up PROHERO Bakugo X Reader
Saw this image on Pinterest was feeling inspired
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/354651e1f31ebde0ff191acbea43d3bb/7c6cb9d450e75511-cf/s540x810/68e596ab59932b9c945f816eff344499f51d9cc7.jpg)
City lights and buildings flashed in your vision, you were admiring the view. You always got lost in the pretty lights of the city you lived in. You often got lost admiring the nature around you.
That was a trait that Bakugo always loved about you, whenever you got lost admiring some you liked he could take all the time admiring you. He always got flustered whenever you caught him. He didn’t know why that you were always able to get him all hot and bothered.
You were one of the lucky ones that managed to break through walls of the great explosive hero.
You felt a warm and confronting hand fall on top of your thigh and you looked away from the passenger window to the handsome blonde in the drivers seat. He always looked great from this angle, you could stare at him all day if you had the time.
“Stop staring dumbass.”
Bakugo grumbled out when he caught you staring at him. You just chuckled at your husbands antics, you were used to his behaviour.
“Sorry you were just soooooo hot, I couldn’t help my myself, firecracker.”
You exclaimed sarcastically, adding even more to the bit you fake fan yourself dramatically.
“Stop being a brat or will take us back home.”
“Sorry when did you turn into my dad?”
Bakugo smirks before confidently speaking.
“I mean you were calling me dadd——-“
“LOOK AT THAT WERE HERE, TO LATE TO TURN AROUND.”
You yell to cut off him off quickly not wanting him to embarrass you right before the hero awards. You go to jump out off the car as soon as he parks the expensive red and black car.
But before you can reach outside bakugo grabs you.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing, since when do you open your own damn door when you’re with me?”
“Just uhh thought I would try tonight.”
Shrugging your shoulders, saying the first thing that came to your mind.
Bakugo opens your door and surprisly takes your hand with all the grace of a proper gentleman.
As you were walking hand in hand you take on the scene before you. It had taken you some time to get used to all the glamour and glitz once you and bakugo became proheros.
The bright red carpet was filled with other proheros, many of them were your past classmates, many of them were stopping for autographs, or stopping for pictures and other things. You sometimes enjoyed the spotlight and other nights you did not, unfortunately for you your dear husband loved the attention every single damn time.
Bakugo was stopping and smiling his famous cocky smirk, the one that he always wore when he fought and won battles. You put on all small shy smile, you honestly weren’t feeling the attention tonight. You tried to usher his into the building away from the burning brights lights but he was not moving. You had decided to accept your fate and took a note to make him take you shopping tomorrow w and be your personal shopping bag.
“Kacchan!!”
Both of your heads went towards the voice, it was of course deku with uraka by his side. Bakugo instantly rolled his eyes
“Deku, what did I say about calling me that at these damn events.”
He aggressively yells at him
“Oh right sorry, I forgot bakugo.”
You take this time to say hi to Ochaco and slip out of bakugos arms. While him and deku are asked for some pictures together, and that will keep them both sidetracked for a bit.
You and ochaco catch up and make your way inside the grand building in front of you.
“Soooo, how do you think the rankings are going to go this year?”
Ochaco asks you as you guys are ushered to your assigned table.
“I think there will be definitely a bunch of people that we graduated with on the stand.”
“I definitely agree on that one (y/n).”
“Also how are you and deku doing, with the recent wedding.”
Her eyes light up as she talks about the famous green haired hero.
“It’s been fantastic, i definitely made the right choice with who to fall in line with.”
Your heart leaps for one of your best friends who deserved the absolute best luck in love. You continue to catch and gossip, reaching your table you store of your old classmates and friends. You meet up with Yaoyorozu, Mina, and Jiro.
Your pleasantly surprised finding out that your sitting with them. You guys all quickly catch up and laughing about your school days and old drama.
“Also did you guys hear that since there’s been an influx of women heroes that they are making two separate categories this year”
Jiro asks the large group around the table.
“Really, ?”
“Well it’s about time we women get the recognition we deserve.”
The pink here beside you exclaims with excitement
“Well isn’t also kind of insulting for them to do that at the same time, it’s kind of saying we can’t compete with our fellow male heroes?”
Asking the group with a questioning brow.
“Well they are still having the main top 10 heroes, and then the ones after would be the female and male categories. Like there would be a female and male number 11.”
Jirou adds to the conversation.
“What are all of you dazzling ladies talking about”
The famous electric hero interrupts the current conversation you guys were having, he quickly takes a spot next Jiro and gives her a soft peck on the cheek, Jiro grows a slight dusty pink across her face. They were so cute together. Shortly the rest of the guys significant others show up. Deku with Ochaco, Shouto and Yaoyoroz, kirishma and Mina.
“Hey short circuit you better not be making eyes towards my woman.”
You hear the voice from your oh so sweet loud husband.
You roll your eyes at him.
You doofus, he is obviously madly in love with jirou.”
You exclaim making the couple blush.
“Whatever.”
He pouts his lips and he sits close beside you crossing his arms. He was obviously embarrassed by your comment, you definitely loved putting him in your place.
Your table had to be the loudest one in the whole place. You had definitely been labelled the most obnoxious by mostly everyone. But you couldn’t help take it all in, you guys all had been through so much and it was amazing thinking about how far all of you had gone. You loved your friends and you couldn’t help treasure that silly little thought.
Clink,Clink
“Attention ladies and gentlemen, today we are going to get started very soon, so take this as your five minute warning, get refreshments and get whatever you need to get comfy.”
“Love, I am going to excuse myself to the bathroom.”
Whispering to bakugo as you make your way away from your seat.
“Well you better not take forever, I don’t want you missing me taking that number one spot.”
“Of course, I’ll be quick.
You smile at him as you venture off.
Unfortunately your senses were off and you didn’t notice someone lurking in the darkness waiting for you to venture off on your own. They had targeted you, you were a very well beloved hero and knew that grabbing you would cause a big splash.
“We will be get—-
The annocer was suddenly flung across the stage. Someone had dropped in right infront of everyone. A person dressed in black was holding someone in his arms and they were unconscious.
It took bakugo a second to recognize you but the minute he did, he saw red enter his vision.
“GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF HER, BASTARD
All of the hero’s quickly were about to jump into action, but they suddenly couldn’t move one inch. Suddenly the building reavvealed more villains.
“Now I must be off before any of you break out because I could get hurt.
The villain exclaimed.
The dark figure jumped away with you in his arms, while his followers loyally followed him out of the building.
Bakugo was fighting against the dumb freezing quirk. But he wasn’t able to get out in time to get you out of harms way. He was so angry and frustrated with himself. How could he let you get away, how could someone stop that many heroes.
As soon as he felt the quirk wore off he was out of the building crashing through the glass doors. He didn’t care how many cuts or bruises he got. They had taken the most precious thing from him and he was going to absolutely destroy whoever stood in his path. He was absolutely unstoppable in this fit of rage he had been set in. Suddenly he saw fire and ice on his and a flash of green to his left.
“Damn nerds, why are you guys here?”
“To help you obviously, you don’t know what you’re walking into.”
Shouto always the level headed hero spoke up.
“Kacchan, did you forget (y/N)s our friend to.”
Deku yells to the hot headed hero.
“Fine but try to keep up and stay out of my way, and no one touches my wife.”
With that no one could stop the hero trio. Whoever this villain was they were going to regret ever touching you.

title: from this perspective pairing: uraraka ochako x bakugo katsuki word count: 1,151 genre: fluff, comedy, angst but won’t make you cry, self-discovery synopsis: in which izuku watches his best friends catch feelings for each other.
part 2: the summer
Izuku’s bull-headed childhood friend did his best at everything. No matter what it is. Be it handling quirks, close-range combat, long-range combat, studying, cooking, housework, playing instruments, or designing clothes. You name it. He’s practically perfect.
Except for having a crush on someone. He never did that before. He never experienced crushes. Katsuki Bakugo is uncrushable.
White Day followed after that sacred moment. As per old tradition, White Day is when boys are to reciprocate the gifts given to them or give obligatory gifts the same way girls do on Valentine’s Day. You can guess what happened next.
For the record, Izuku wasn’t stalking them. He happened to be within the vicinity. The vicinity was the dormitory’s kitchen where he tutored Ochako Trigonometry in the common room. She had given Izuku a heads-up that Katsuki asked to meet up with her that night. It wasn’t his business so Izuku didn't ask what it was for, but nothing stopped him from deducting assumptions.
Naturally, he’d worry for her. Katsuki never developed romantic feelings for anyone before. What if he tries to fight her for making him feel a certain way? Exactly, what if he beats his crush up or something?
Nothing could have ever prepared Izuku for witnessing Katsuki beckon Ochako to one corner of the common room away from their other classmates’ eyes. Izuku scooted himself behind the farthest corner of the counter and quite precisely eavesdropped. He doesn’t usually do something like this, nor does Katsuki usually give gifts to other people.
Izuku’s eyes went raw from how many times he’d rubbed them to be sure he saw this correctly.
He bought her a new pink umbrella.
And a pack of ice cream mochi.
The strawberry kind.
Her favorite.
It was inside a pink paper bag. A pink paper bag. He went out of his way to get a pink paper bag for her. Who is this man anymore-
After that second sacred moment, it was noticeable (for Izuku) that Ochako became significantly sweeter around Katsuki. She's sweet to everyone, however Izuku can tell that the gesture shifted something between them.
Ochako greets Katsuki more often, more specifically whenever she drops by Izuku’s desk. They would spar at most two times a week, much to Tenya and Tsuyu’s surprise the first time she’d told them. The most important of all is Ochako would occasionally drop by the kitchen whenever Katsuki’s on cooking duty and have a little chat.
It was beautiful. A beautiful change. Izuku might actually tear up.
Except Katsuki had no initiative on his part.
Sometimes Izuku finds himself staring at his childhood friend pathetically, which earned him death threats that he'd casually brush off. He can’t help it. It drove him insane.
It’s as if they were asking him to do something about this.
But no.
Izuku couldn’t possibly.
“You’re not going home? Kero.” Mina, Tsuyu, and Ochako gathered at one spot in the common room, discussing their plans for summer vacation. Ochako rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly from Tsuyu’s worried remark. “There’s no need, after all. My parents aren’t always home since they’re busy with work.
“It’s just a month. I’ll be fine!” The pink-cheeked girl displayed a smile that barely reached her eyes. Izuku and Tenya approached the girls after a moment of contemplating, visibly concerned over their friend.
Mina pouted, “‘Chako chip, you’re always welcome to join my fam and me if you ever get bored here, okay?!” The offer put another smile on Ochako’s face. “Thank you, Mina.”
“My place isn’t far from here,” Izuku proposes, “Want me to accompany you? I mean, if you don’t mind being stuck here with me.”
Finally, Ochako laughed. “You live here, too. Why are you asking me for permission?”
He scratched his cheek, “Well, you know,” and glanced at his peripherals to check if Katsuki was within earshot. He sat at the dining area two tables from where they stood. If there was an eavesdropper between the two childhood friends, it’d be Katsuki. It was worth a shot if the blond could think of an alibi to stay behind the dorms to still see her during summer break.
If he could just ignore the teases Mina does every time Izuku interacts with Ochako.
“I second the suggestion, Midoriya-kun!” Tenya jumped in, chopping the air with his hand.
“Thank you!” Ochako chirped, copying Tenya’s gestures like she usually does. “But I don’t want to hold you guys back from spending time with your families.” She regarded each of them, doing her best to lighten the mood. “We can have a sleepover before we part ways, how about that?”
With this, Mina squealed from excitement. “I love that idea! I’ll go get the others. Let’s go, Tsu!” And dragged Tsuyu with her for whatever reason. “It’s still 5 PM, kero.” And Tenya followed suit, already promoting sleepover protocols and sleep schedules while chopping the air again now with both hands.
Izuku huffed and crossed his arms, watching his classmates. He heard Ochako sigh. “I’m serious though. You don’t have to stay.”
He held his arms up as if to surrender.
She raised a brow. “Your mom probably misses you, too.”
He nodded and doesn’t say anything, as tears formed in her eyes. He inwardly fumbled, panicking, because his mom never taught him what to do when he sees a girl cry. He did know one thing.
“Hug?” He asked unsure, awkwardly holding up an arm to invite her. She chuckled, probably at how lame he looked, yet nodded and bumped her head on his shoulder with a quiet sniffle. He settled his hand on her head and smoothed out her hair. It wasn’t the first time they’ve hugged like this, but it’s definitely the first time in the common room.
Then it hit him. Like somebody spat on him, Izuku jerked his head towards the dining area. Eijiro now joined him at the table and seemed to be snickering at them. He, on the other hand, who had his back facing them, now turned his full torso in their direction.
Whatever it is kind of Kacchan emotion plastered on his face at this moment, it was not happiness. Far from it even.
Ochako shifted from under his chin, “For how long are you gonna hold me for, Deku?” She exhaled a giggle, wiping her runny nose with her sweater sleeve.
Izuku does not know what compelled him for what he responds with. Absolutely no clue.
“Until someone gets jealous.”
This made Ochako laugh from the pit of her heart. Izuku considered this as hitting two birds with one stone as he maintained eye contact with Katsuki. Who now looked more pissed off than ever. Glaring the complete hell out of the devious bunny-looking boy.
It only occurred to Izuku that he had been smirking all this time.
This might’ve been more fun than he let on.

Another restless night, unsurprisingly. She sat in the living room, bored as she stared at her book that was of horror. Some parts kept her entertained and others bored her out. A book of an obsessive, tragic love was not her forte. While she stared at a word she wondered how Shoto was doing. To hear he had a guardian angel was reassuring, but for it to come from Toga was a major concern. If Izuku got on her good side, maybe the crazy will allow him to visit. Actually, if there was a way to send Shoto a letter, perhaps she should figure out a way for that.
Looking at the coffee table where a pencil cup was placed she contemplated on how to even start one. She could use a page from her book to ask Izuku for a paper from his journal. However, before she could move, the front door opened. She glanced out the window where she could see the night sky, "Little late, aren't we?"
He sheepishly rubbed his nape, clothing the door and removed his shoes, "Sorry, Ochaco and I were going through...Toga's list and surprisingly enough, she didn't ask for much. It was just a list of collectible knives and keychains."
At the sound of her name, she returned back to her book, mumbling underneath her breath, "Some priority."
He let out a quite airy laugh, making his way to her while changing the conversation, "Also, I headed out to Tenya's place. I guess he and Mei are working on a project and Tenya thought I should know too."
"How exciting." She plainly said, flipping to the next page of her book.
He sat next to her, peeking at the book and remembering he had read it back in middle school, "Since you know Mei, you should come with me next time. You haven't had time to speak with her and I'm sure she'd like to see you again."
"Mhm." She rested her on the couches end, turning to the next page.
His eyes flickered to her, "She mentioned you. She wants you to help her since you both went to the same class."
"Yeah." She drew out, as she finally got to the good part of the book, finding it intriguing at the cryptic messages.
"You know it doesn't hurt to be interested in what I'm saying." He mumbled, sitting back and staring at the TV where he could see both their reflection. It did kind of hurt to not have her attention, but after sitting in silence and returning to the uninterested parts she set it down. "I think I'm tired."
"Well, you were up and down." His eyes did feel heavy, "Bedtime?"
She nodded and stood up with him, following behind. With her bedroom door closing they settled under the covers. She placed her arms underneath her head, staring at the ceiling as she didn't feel quite tired. She could hear him getting comfortable and just his presence filled her with warmth, "...If the world continued to live, what would you major in?"
He turned to his side, an embarrassing coat on his cheek, "Well...I'm not exactly sure."
She stared at the ceiling for a brief moment before turning to her side, e/c eyes on him despite the room being dark. "Sometimes, I think about being a w-writer, then other times...I want to help people. I always had that presence where they feel safe around me and it felt nice to know people think of me like that. Even Kacchan feels the same and I know it sounds silly, but I want to put that to use. If it makes people feel happy, then I'm happy."
She hummed. He really was completely different than her and maybe....that's why she fell for him. So selfless, Izuku.
"What about you?" Je asked, looking at her, wanting to know, "What did you want to be?"
She thought about it before shrugging, "Nothing."
"Nothing?" His brows furrowed. She had many skills so that was surprising to hear, "Isn't there something you've always wanted to do? It could even be something small, doesn't have to be big."
Well, she liked fighting, that was obvious. But if she had to choose something that was normalized in society she'd have to say, "Military. Just like dear old dad."
"Oh..." He softly said, looking down at the sheets. He often daydreamed and by often, he meant everyday, about how life would have been like. Would they have met? And if they did, would she have stayed? If she were to be shipped off, she'd be away for quite some time which upsetted him. He had no reason to feel upset as this was just a scenario, but he couldn't think he would be able to go through months without her, "If you were to join, then you would be gone for months."
"Yeah, I guess." She shrugged, though her next comment made his heart flutter, "You like helping people so you can be a nurse or doctor. My own personal nurse."
A tired smile crossed his lips as a hum left his throat. Sleep was settling in him and he turned the other way where he pulled the blankets over his face, not wanting for the flattered blush to leave. He did like the idea. To be her only nurse.
Eyes glued to his back, she let out a quiet breath, moving closer to him. Without haste, she nudged her head underneath his head while her other arm laid across his side, both letting out a comforting, loving sigh. Her hand was placed above his, and the warmth entered her cold fingertips as she planted a kiss to his exposed nape. As long as they were in the arms they loved, they had nothing to worry about.
A couple hours went by and F/n was left awake. She had fallen asleep, but she had woken up and sleep no longer interested her. The sound of his soft snores along with the chattering outside could be heard.
She rolled to her back, arms sprawled with her other sill underneath his head, tingling due to no blood flow. Staring at the ceiling, she reluctantly removed herself from the bed, careful to not disturb her partner as she made her way downstairs to the kitchen. Pouring herself water, she sat down on the islam, looking out the window where she could see the night shift patrolling. The patrollers quietly talked as one of them fished out a cigarette. Their gun that was snuggly fit in its holster caught her attention just as they walked off.
She didn't have a weapon. She didn't have anything to protect herself. How stupid could she be? To forget the first lesson she learned. Due to her blissful ignorance she now stood outside, bag on her shoulders as she stayed in the dark, carefully to not let the patrollers catch her. She was heading for Gunheads workplace. No one was allowed to be outside after dark. It was a rule that everyone agreed so when one of the night shifts was in her way, she looked below where she spotted a pebble. She picked it up before throwing it across the street, successfully hitting a mailbox as it clanged. It alerted one of the males and he went on to check the cause of the noise. She was able to pass by quietly, keeping low until she reached the small building.
The front door was locked, as expected. She moved to a side window, placing her hands on the glass and sliding it up, allowing for a slit to be created and where she could place a kitchen knife in between. Then she wiggled the blade to where the lock was placed, keeping an eye out for anything. Hearing a soft click, she fully opened it, throwing in her bag and climbing in. Finally inside, she grabbed her flashlight and turned it on the lowest setting. She then headed for the clipboard where all weapons were written down.
Gunhead had placed it in between magazines to keep it discreet. She pulled it out, going through the list before crossing the names of the pistol she was taking and going to the last page where the older male wrote Tomura's supplies. Just like him, she grabbed the pen and wrote the pistols, caution in matching Gunheads writing. Next to it, she inked Tomura's name.
Placing it back and throwing her bag out the window she removed herself from the room and locked the window. She then moved to a wall where she was able to climb the wall's panels. At the top, she carefully slid down. With her feet on the floor she kept low as she headed away from Sorston and onto the cold unmarked streets.
To avoid having her discover she used the moonlight, thankful for the rotters to be frozen and erratic. She didn't know where to go. She just let her feet take control and before she knew it she made her way back to the burned neighborhood. Walking past a few, she stopped at one that was still in good condition, the roof only being burned.
Seeing the furniture still in front of the door meant no one came in. She closed the window behind her and carefully made her way through the house, inspecting it just in case. She went room to room and upon seeing nothing strange she placed her bag on the floor, opened it up and began to work.
She took out a watch, a couple batteries, clothespins, tape, copper wire, and a yarn of string. She then took out a couple rusty nails and moved to both of the bedrooms. She grabbed any spare blankets and walked back to the living room, grabbing a chair on her way.
She placed the wooden chair near the side of the window and with the rusty nails she grabbed the end of the blanket, poked the nail through it and held it to the corner of the window where she used the back of her flashlight as a hammer.
The banging wasn't loud, but every nose she thought she heard had her pausing and continued when she made sure it was safe. She made sure that nothing could peek in or out as she now claimed the home.
Once all windows from the kitchen and living room were covered she let her light stand as she grabbed the end of the couches that she had previously placed next to the front door. She grunted as she moved it across the tile floor. She pushed it towards the bedroom doors as she no longer needed it. She then went back, grabbing the other couch and placing it to the other door.
With the remaining furniture, she also placed it next to the bedroom and bathroom, making sure that if one fell, the others would too. As that was finished she moved to sit in the middle of the empty living room where her duffel bags sat.
With the watch she pulled out, she noted she had a couple hours until the sun would rise.
She wiped her forehead from the sweat before grabbing the batteries, tape and wooden clothespin. She sniffled as she placed each battery on the bottom of the pins and used the taped to secure it. She made sure the tape wasn't wrapped around, only using enough so that it wouldn't block the wire that held the pin together.
She then held it in front of her eyes, smiling as it looked perfect to her. She grabbed another pin and proceeded to do the same until she had three. She picked up the copper wires next and with the tape, she placed a side of the wire to the end of the battery. She also used the tape to hold the wire to the clothespin. Finally, with the yarn, she stood up and headed to the front door. She taped one pin to the side of the wall, cut a string of yarn with her knife, placed it carefully so the pin would pinch it and then headed to the other side where she did the same.
She took a step back, admiring her work. She let out a small airy laugh at the tripwire she made. She wondered if her father felt proud of what she had done. The trap, when being tipped, would set the entire building on fire. It wouldn't start off as an explosion, the fire would start off small until it would reach the blankets that were hanged above, then onto the roof finally making the fire huge.
She grabbed the other set of pins she made and headed down the basement with her duffel bag in hand. She placed the duffel bag in the room. She took one last glance at the painkillers, ammo, pistol and cans of food before proceeding to trap the basement.
Just in case someone managed to get through a different entrance, the basement would have a spare one. She'd rather lose her stuff than have someone else take it. For how she would get out, she used the same window and closed it behind her, the curtain of a blanket fluttering from the wind before settling back to its previous position.
You can't avoid death. You can't hold on to what will never happen. Her father's advice: Be one step ahead while the others are a thousand behind.
